THE CONTEXT:
Village NDJOM-ESSE consists of two hamlets. This is an area of dense equatorial forest and sub-equatorial climate with alternating two dry seasons and two rainy seasons headed by a traditional chief of the third degree.
In terms of climate, it is a bimodal rainfall zone and sub-equatorial climate Classic Guinean.
- A long rainy season from mid-August to mid-November
- A small rainy season in mid-March to mid-May
- A long dry season from November to mid-March
- A short dry season from June to mid-August
Because of the above climatic divisions, we can carry out only two crop cycles per year.
The terrain is quite uneven, makes plates to the tops of hills or in peri-swamp.
The floors are dark and muddy swamps. Village NDJOM-ESSE is watered by two rivers and has a rich and varied flora with many tree species, some of which are used in traditional pharmacopoeia and then exploited by logging companies.
Demographically village NDJOM-ESSE has 601 inhabitants youth, women and men alike.
The habitat of this village is varied reflecting the status of each owner. From the point of view education system the village has a primary school full cycle created in 2007, but this school meets multiple problems such as:
The lack of teacher holders because the state did not affect one teacher paid by the state. The other teachers are contractors hired by the Association of Parents and Teachers (PTA) which supports their salaries and that is a heavy load, heavy for the poor parents. Four years since the ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF HUMANITARIAN IN CAMEROON (APAHC) brings a gift to the students of this school, enrollment has doubled, but the lack of teachers wants to paralyze this school. The first two buildings of the school were built by the students parents themselves and only this year that the common Sangmelima constructed a building for the school.
In economic activities of hunting and agriculture are the main providers of business income. In a very affected by poverty as no area of our country country is safe despite efforts by the government. That is why we created the Association of Parents and Teachers (PTA) to support certain operating expenses of the school. Village NDJOM-ESSE is connected to the mains.
Water remains a crucial problem for the school and for the entire population of this village because the village does not have a basement water wells, well furnished traditionally located about 300 meters from the school is located on a slope which is not accessible to small children in primary school, and even for women with age.
The problem of lack of drinking water is crucial for the village of NDJOM-ESSE while water is a priority for the survival of a community.
School NDJOM-ESSE is created in 2007 and has a full cycle, as we have already discussed, the school still faces too many difficulties for its operation and that is why we are sending this request for support for the achievement of latrines for the school. The first two classrooms that housed the school were built by members of the PTA for this association of voluntary members, dedicated, hardworking and committed to finding a solution for the survival of the school.
The school principal, teacher only official employed by the State and whose salary is supported by the State called Ms. Brigitte Bilo'o and salaries of temporary teachers is supported by the PTA.
Our request is for a project for the creation of ventilated pit latrines and sanitary block.
N There are no toilets in the school. For reasons of hygiene and obvious comfort for students and teachers, villagers whose parents make every effort to make latrines. They were inspired latrines designed and built by a French expert Claude Poor in the village of Onon District Oveng Fang 's located in the bush 140 km of NDJOM-ESSE project supported by the ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROMOTION OF ACTIONS HUMANITARIAN IN CAMEROON (APAHC).

- Realization of a double pit masonry slab that will be the basis washroom.
- Collection of effluent to an infiltration trench for infiltration into the soil
